Congratulations, You’ve solved all your clues! There’s just one more step to completing your Secret Picnic adventure… and that’s eating it of course!

You have 3 secret location options with
one being a 15-minute drive away.

In order of distance from here:

Option One

– Dogs allowed

After your wine tasting you may like to purchase a bottle of your favourite Sunnyhurst wine to sip with your picnic.

Or, you may decide to stay non-al, but either way you can make your way over to their majestic Moreton Bay fig and take in the stunning views of the valley and the vineyard below while you enjoy your delicious picnic.

Option Two

– Dogs allowed

This is a drive of approximately 5 minutes. The Bridgetown Library is nestled on the edge of Somme Creek.

There are several beautiful sculptures tucked away within the landscaped environment plus two gazebos where you can sit and enjoy your picnic.

Here’s a map! It marks the gazebos with a cross. You can park in the carpark shown alongside the library and it’s a short walk to the rear of the building past the skate park on your right..

Option Three

– Dogs allowed
– 21 km from here

If you fancy a 15 minute drive or so, here’s the way to the peaceful Greenbushes Pool.

A large natural water body in a bushland setting on Spring Gully Road. Great picnic area, including gazebo and BBQ, with children’s play area and toilets. A boardwalk and gravel walk trail is provided around the perimeter of the pool, with interpretive signage. Follow the signs off Blackwood Road. There is ample parking available.

The Greenbushes Pool is a stopping point on the Greenbushes Loop Walk Trail which connects to the Bibbulmun Track. It is also the starting point for the Waterbird Walk to Schwenke’s Dam which is a former mining area undergoing development as a wetland suitable for wading birds such as the endangered bittern species.

We hope you’ve had a fun time on our little “treasure hunt” and that you will thoroughly enjoy your picnic in the beautiful surroundings of our own little treasure in the valley – Bridgetown

Thank you!

As a visitor to our beautiful National Parks, we ask that you play your part in caring for these environments by leaving no trace. Stay on the designated trails and avoid shortcuts; leave all rocks, shells, flowers and objects of interest as you find them, to guard against damage and so that others can also discover and appreciate them as they are. Remember to take all your rubbish home with you and should you encounter areas of indigenous significance, please do not touch aboriginal art or disturb sites of cultural significance in any way.
These parks have been reserved for the protection and conservation of our natural biodiversity, they are treasured places for us all to reconnect with our natural world.
